Whole-home audio in Los Angeles typically costs $6,000 to $50,000, and a two or three zone system can start around $4,000. Every system is quoted by zone after we design the layout, and the number moves with zone count, speaker quality, and whether outdoor audio is part of it. Every number below is a range from real projects. The only way to get your number is a free on-site consultation and an itemized proposal, and you can start that at our contact page or by calling (424) 301-7661.
What do the tiers look like?
| Tier | Typical range | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | $4,000 to $8,000 | Two or three zones of in-ceiling speakers, a streaming amplifier, app control |
| Whole-home | $8,000 to $25,000 | Six to ten zones inside, keypads, streaming services integrated, outdoor patio zone |
| Estate | $25,000 to $50,000 | Every room plus landscape audio, architectural speakers, subwoofers, Control4 integration, multiple sources at once |
What drives the price?
Zone count. Each room or area that plays its own source is a zone with its own amplifier channel and speakers. Zones are the unit we quote by.
Speaker quality. In-ceiling speakers range from very good to reference grade. Rooms you actually listen in get better speakers than hallways.
Outdoor audio. Landscape speakers, buried wiring, and weather-rated hardware cost more per zone than an indoor room, and a backyard in Encino with a pool and a patio is often two zones.
Wiring. A pre-wired home or new construction is the least expensive path. Retrofitting through attics and walls in an older home adds labor, though it rarely opens drywall.
Control. App control is standard. Keypads in each room and Control4 integration add hardware and programming.
What is included?
Layout design, speakers, amplification, streaming platform, concealed wiring, laser-leveled installation, app setup with your services, and a walkthrough.
How long does it take?
A few zones can be installed in two to three days. A full whole-home system with in-ceiling, in-wall, and outdoor speakers usually takes one to two weeks.

Common questions
Questions people ask about this
- Is wireless multi-room audio cheaper?
- For one or two rooms, yes. For a whole home, wired in-ceiling speakers on a central amplifier cost about the same over time, sound better, and never drop out.
- Which streaming services work?
- Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Amazon Music, Pandora, SiriusXM, internet radio, and AirPlay all work with the platforms we install.
- Can outdoor audio be added to an existing system?
- Yes. An outdoor zone joins the existing amplifier and app, and we run buried wiring in conduit to the speakers.
- How many zones do I need?
- Count the places you actually listen: kitchen, living room, primary bedroom, patio. Four to six zones covers most homes; hallways and guest rooms rarely earn one.
